We bought our first German Shepherd in 1985 as a family pet. We named him Kaiser and he was everything we wanted in a companion, from there we were hooked. From then until now we have always had at least 1 Shepherd in our house. The first interest that we took in training was around 10 years ago when we bought a new puppy. We were lucky enough to join a training club that trained using reward based training. From there we assisted the head instructors and then in 2001 Keeva achieved her Certificate IV in Dog Behavioural Training “Canine Good Citizenship”. Keeva has updated her skills on a regular basis over the years and has for 2 years been a tutor for Delta Society to help others achieve their Cert IV in training. We both feel it is very important to train our dogs in a way that is respectful to the dogs and easy enough for everyone to achieve success in training.  

In 1999 we decided to start breeding so we joined the N.S.W Canine Council Control and the German Shepherd League. We bought our foundation bitch Jeriparra Misha and our kennels were born. Sintruk Kennels is a small kennel and has been a labour of love for us. We have enjoyed every dog and puppy that has been with us and all the people we have met along the way.

We have an interest in showing and obedience and have done both with some success. As much as we have enjoyed the different aspects of dog ownership for us it comes down to owning a companion that is part of the family and is a joy to be around. All our dogs and puppies are treated with love, care and respect.
